June 2009: Congratulations to CES Mentor Dr. Carmen DiCello. His latest book has just been published: Truth in Balance: Doing Apologetics in a Postmodern Culture (Wipf and Stock Publishers).
May 2009: Congratulations to CES Mentor Dr. Roger D. Duke. He has a book coming out in mid June titled: "Soldier of Christ": The Piety of Basil Manly, Sr. and Basil Manly, Jr. (Founders Publishers). Dr. Duke co-authored the book with Michael A. G. Haykin and A. James Fuller.
April 2009: CES 18th Anniversary - In April of 1991, Columbia Evangelical Seminary officially “opened” its distance-learning doors. We are thankful that God's divine guidance has been upon CES from the beginning. Please pray for CES and its continued success, and for the positive welfare of all who are a part of this wonderful, God-ordained ministry.
April 14, 2009: Congratulations to Eric A. Andersen of Bonney Lake, WA. In 2006, Eric transferred into CES with a B.A. from Western Washington University and master's-level credits from Regent College (Vancouver BC), and Emanuel School of Religion. Today, he completed his Master of Theological Studies with CES. After being engaged in academic study for so long, Eric writes, "I'll hardly know what to do with myself now." We are sure that God will find something to keep him busy.
February 25, 2009: Graduate Update via Email: “Dear Ric, I am enjoying teaching philosophy and religion at Des Moines Area Community College-Urban campus. It is hard to believe that I am beginning my fourth year of teaching there. Having my Doctor of Theological Studies degree (2005) from CES helped me get the teaching position. January 28, 2009: Congratulations to Jerry Pierce of Flower Mound, TX. Mr. Pierce earned his Master's-Level Certificate of Theological Studies with CES.
January 25, 2009: Congratulations to Brad Stewart of Buckley, WA. Brad just completed his Doctor of Ministry in Men's Ministry with CES. Dr. Stewart is the Executive Director of the South Seattle Coalition of Men's Ministries. He has served as a men's ministry leader throughout the Pacific Northwest for the Evangelical Free Church of America. While in the U.S. military, Brad served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Yokosuka Japan Christian Serviceman's Center, and spent 15 years making disciples while laboring in the Navigators. He is a retired Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer.
Janury 21, 2009: Congratulations to Jan Christiaan Louis Viljoen of South Africa. Jan just completed his Doctor of Christian Studies with CES. Dr. Viljoen has been a pastor of a multi-racial church for 14 years. During this time, he established an evangelical and missions ministry called Tseasa Ministries. The mission of this ministry is to develop communities through preaching and teaching the gospel. He also has a feeding program among orphans in some of the villages in the rural area of Bela-Bela, South Africa.
